Guide to Antenatal Colostrum Harvesting

$24.99

This Guide to Antenatal Colostrum Harvesting has everything I wished I knew back when I started. It's got a bit about what colostrum actually is, a whole slew of reasons why you might wanna do it, how to actually do it (and I have three different methods for you to choose from - or try all three to see what works best for YOU!) but it doesn't stop there. I've also got information on how to store it safely AND finally, different methods of feeding that expressed liquid gold to your newborn. Because let's be real, feeding a newborn is not always a simple task, especially if you've never done it before.

I hyperfixated on this guide for a solid month through every nap my toddler took (when really I should have been napping too - I am so tired) and tweaked it and tweaked it again at night when she slept. I'm really stoked with the result and I hope you enjoy it and get something out of it too.

What makes my guide different than all the others?

Look, you can go and learn how to express colostrum on Instagram or Youtube or whatever, and that’s totally fine! That’s how I learned back then.

  • But it wasn’t quite enough and maybe you’ve found my guide because you think it isn’t quite enough either.

  • I’m queer. My pronouns are they/them and I understand that not all of us want to be referred to as Mother. Some of us are Dad. And some of us are Bapa. We are ALL different - and so I use gender neutral language through my whole guide. You want to read instructions on hand expression that doesn’t talk about ‘your br**sts’? Here it is!

  • That being said, this guide isn’t only for my queer community, it’s for all birthing parents.

  • It’s got actual colostrum expressing in pictures. Yep, I took one for the team and essentially started the relactation process for the purpose of photos in this guide. I’ve literally put my blood, sweat, and milk into this guide! (Okay, so it’s not actually colostrum because I’m not pregnant, but it is thick, sticky, in tiny amounts AND yellow so…)

  • I’m not an influencer trying to monetise my personal experience. I have personal experience, yes, but I also went and got myself certified. I completed a full 95 hours of lactation specific study with Australasian Lactation Courses and then I completed an additional 95 hours with the Healthy Children Project and am now a Certified Lactation Counsellor.

  • Most of it I could have easily written off the top of my head but I took the time to make sure there’s credible sources for all the info - nearly two pages of sources at the end of the document for you to ignore or look through, take your pick. I’ve done the research, so you don’t have to. You can trawl through the internet finding answers and getting ten different ones, or you can buy this guide.

This is a digital download only. No physical item will be sent. Please consult with your medical provider or midwife before collecting colostrum to confirm it is safe for you to do so.
